Marlene Roeder is an artist, educator, and Associate Curator of Education and Public Programs at the Everson Museum of Art. She has extensive classroom experience as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher, art teacher and music teacher. She was formerly arts coordinator at Franklin Magnet School of the Arts, which received the Kennedy Center National School of Distinction Award, under programs instituted by Roeder. She has facilitated large scale professional development opportunities for teachers and museum educators in Visual Thinking Strategies and Complex Instruction in museums and schools throughout the country. She has spoken nationally and internationally on the importance of community partnerships in the arts.
