This is a new weekly offering from Open Figure Drawing.
The drawing sessions start with 5 one minute gestures, and continue with 3 forty-five minutes poses. The 1st forty-five minute pose will start soon after the end of the gestures. The rest of the poses will have long enough breaks to be able to start the 2nd & 3rd poses at the top of the hour.

Sunday, January 18, 2026, 1 – 3 pm
Long Pose drawing sessions consist of 1 pose, with breaks for the model, for the entire 2 hr session.
Long Pose (nude) sessions are usually on the 3rd Sunday of the month, & Long Pose (clothed) sessions are usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Wednesday on Sunday follows the same series of poses as our regular Wednesday night Figure Drawing session. The 2nd Wednesday on Sunday on a month features a clothed model.

We have moved Fashion Show artwork to the Fayetteville Library over the New Year Holiday break.
Reception: Saturday, January 24, 2026, 3 – 4:30 pm
The Fayetteville Library has at least twice as much space as we’ve got. To help fill up the extra space, bring back your Portrait Show artwork for the Fayetteville Library. It will be returned to Delavan Studaios, room 413 in early February.
Our next show in room 413, will start at the end of February / early March. Until then, we will have a show of Outsider Art that Iver Johnson will coordinate.
Rules:
- The is artwork is moving to the Fayetteville Library December 31, during OFD’s winter break.
Bring your Portrait Show artwork from March – June 2025 back on or before our last session of the year, December 21.
Since we only have a few sessions remaining, if you can’t find your artwork, or if you no longer have it, we will accept substitutes, but no nudes. - Identify your artwork. Include your name and phone number (or e-mail or street address). Optionally, include a title, media, and size information. We also suggest signing and dating your work.
- Artwork must be framed and ready to hang from our hanging system.
- Work can be for sale, but does not have to be. Open Figure Drawing takes a 10% commission on all sales.
- No packaging necessary.
If you’ve packaged your artwork, please take the art out of it’s packaging and bring your packaging home.
